Simple by design
Enter a prompt, question, or goal. The more context you give, the more focused the ideas — but broad prompts work too for open exploration.
MyMap's AI brainstorms across multiple angles and places ideas on the canvas as cards — grouped by theme and ready to build on.
Ask AI to go deeper on any idea, generate variations, or combine themes. Move ideas around, add your own, and shape the session visually.
About the framework
Brainstorming is a creative ideation technique introduced by advertising executive Alex Osborn in the 1940s. The goal is to generate a large volume of ideas as fast as possible by suspending judgment — quantity over quality, divergence over convergence. Once ideas are out, you evaluate and filter.
The format works for any challenge: naming a product, solving a technical problem, planning a marketing campaign, or generating content ideas. The key principle is that no idea is too wild early in the process.
Visual brainstorming — where ideas appear as cards on a canvas rather than in a list — makes it easier to group, connect, and build on ideas spatially.
MyMap's AI generates a broad spread of ideas across multiple angles from a single prompt, organized visually on a canvas so you can explore, cluster, and develop the most promising directions instantly.

Mind maps branch from a single central topic in a hierarchical structure. Brainstorming is more open — ideas spread freely across the canvas without a strict hierarchy. Use brainstorming to generate raw ideas, then a mind map to organize them.
